General Overview

The Leading Voice LLC programs use an interdisciplinary and experiential approach designed specifically to help women connect clear ideas with confident communication. Programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of the client, using real life experiences as individualized learning models to address their particular challenges.The Leading Voice LLC creates original programs for corporations, universities, women’s organizations, and individuals in three formats:

  • The Workshop: half-day to multi-day programs for small groups.
  • The Development Plan: small-group workshops with one-on-one follow-up.
  • The Individual Plan: one-on-one coaching based on an individual needs assessment.

Each program draws on three key elements: research, tools, strategy.

Research

The Leading Voice LLC approach is rooted in communication, gender and leadership research, which explores the many contributing factors that influence women’s leadership development.  Discussion of the research provides clients with a framework for understanding their own communication challenges. The coach partners with clients in using research-based methodologies to analyze real-life, critical incidents and identify their specific barriers to powerful and authentic communication.

Tools

The coach teaches a variety of practical techniques, including physical skills such as vocal and body language methods, content development and emotional management that help to increase mental focus, reduce anxiety, and dissolve the obstacles to clear and confident communication. These methods transform clients’ vocal presence and alter their personal experience of their own voice, increasing the power and authority of their communication.

Strategy

Clear and confident communication requires thoughtful strategy and thorough preparation. The Leading Voice works with clients to define their strategic communication goals and implement action plans to meet them. Strategic coaching helps clients to develop powerful messages, identify and build key relationships, and strengthen listening skills. Strategic preparation gives clients the confidence and clarity they need to deliver influential messages, network effectively, and think on their feet.
